Artland East

Dave Meissner

Dave was born and raised just off the beaten path from Austin in Hutto, Texas.  In 1999, he moved to Austin to attend Concordia University, where he was fully immersed in arts, performing in most of the theatrical productions, assisting with set construction and design, and taking whatever art classes he could get his hands on. David enjoys experimenting with different mediums, but is most drawn to using graphite pencil as well as pen and ink. He loves doing portraits and pulling ideas from what he discovers in nature to create abstract art. In 2017, he and his wife, Rachel, and daughter, Quinn, moved to East Austin where they can create as well as enjoy all of the art the city has to offer.
